Jane Ward at St. Mary’s Hospital, London
We are proud to have sourced a group of limited edition prints by Jane Ward for the antenatal unit at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, in collaboration with the Imperial Health Charity.
Antenatal staff were closely consulted on the choice of works for their unit - some of which were printed at bespoke sizes for the space. Seven prints have been installed, each featuring Jane’s characteristic highly-detailed imagery. Created by digitally layering photographic and painted components, these luminous works draw the viewer in and - in the artist’s words - ‘play with illusion and what’s real’.
The Imperial Health Charity helps five London hospitals by funding hospital buildings and facilities, research and medical equipment. With a wide-reaching arts engagement programme and a museum-accredited collection of over 2000 works, they are passionate about improving the patient experience through displays, exhibitions, events and workshops.
